I have experimented with various methods of utilizing the EWI (electric wind controller) to play string and brass instruments like a second keyboardist. I tried advanced MIDI harmonizer programs, but they required extensive setup for chord progressions before playing, which did not align with my musical vision and skills. Eventually, I discovered a solution using two iPad Air devices that communicate via Bluetooth MIDI, allowing for multi-layer MIDI performance. I utilized Rozeta Scaler IOS to incorporate additional layers with key adjustments of +3, +5, -8, or -12 while performing songs in real time. I just choose the Key and scale like major, minor, pentatonic, etc on Rozeta based on the song that I will play. The primary sound module is the Roland Sonic Cell. The result is remarkable and dependable, and I take great pleasure in making music.
