Missionary Elizabeth Johanna Schepping RN (1880-1934)

I was deeply moved while learning about sincere service and sacrifice that a German missionary Elizabeth Johanna Schepping RN had done in Korea. She chose her Korean name as "Suh-Suh Pyoung" meaning slowly and peacefully. On the wall of her bedroom, there is her quote " Not Success , But Service" which clearly tells her selfless compassion and devotion and passion to restore broken hearts among women and orphans, to bring their souls to God and to deliver the poor. She gave everything she had to them, including even her body for medical research.
