I plan to modify the Yamaha WX-5 wind controller to function as a digital alto saxophone controller. In the past, I came across Gary Honor's YouTube video(as above), where his modification involved adding an alto saxophone neck and bell. However, the mouthpiece in his setup lacked a bite sensor. My objective is to integrate a bite sensor into the alto saxophone neck and mouthpiece to enhance its functionality and expressive capabilities.
This is my old version of WX5 modification.

I also found the 3 d printed bell for WX5 online. I am going to modify and use this.

Bite Sensor Integration:
Use my own bite sensor reed and mouthpiece set that can fit within an alto saxophone mouthpiece.
Plan the wiring and connection to the existing electronics of the WX-5 for seamless integration.
Ensure the sensor can provide the desired expressive control without interfering with playability.

Update on 2/8/2025
Finally I finished my Augmented WX-5 project. For a bite sensor, I have to use a physical lever system with magnet instead of pressor sensor.
